All the Awards in one Place and If you enjoy lists, well you’re going to like this!
It’s hard choosing your next car, because to be honest, for most of us, we only have experience of the car we drive on a daily basis, or perhaps things we are being told by friends about their cars.
When we arrive at the car dealership, we get to see the car we think we are interested sitting in a show room and of course it looks lovely, most cars do in that environment. So to help us make our minds up, we get to perhaps take a test drive for 20 minutes or so and whilst that’s going to give an idea of if we could live with the car or not, its not going to tell us if what we are doing is right and its not going to tell us that there are other cars that perhaps we haven’t even considered that we should be looking at also.
Whilst I am not a big fan of awards given to cars by TV Programs and Magazines, they do give us some indication of what ‘other people think’ and usually, before an award has been made, the program or magazine has tested the car for much longer than the 20 minutes you’re likely to get at your local car dealership.
Now, these are only people’s opinions and that does not mean you’re going to like any of these cars, just because someone else did. Awards given to cars have a history of coming back and biting the judges on the bottom or have simply been given to cars that never lived up to their promise.
So here goes, the following is a list of the awards won by different cars in the last six months or so.
I was going to try and group them into categories for which they won the award, however these publications seem to make up their own categories, so we figured it was best just to place them in manufacturer order – Simples!

As you know if you’ve visited our website before, we do road tests on some of the vehicles we use and like the awards above, we don’t claim them to definitive and we simply tell you what we liked and what we didn’t like and if we felt we could live with a car or van for perhaps 3 years if we were given it by our employers. Check out what we think?
