Most improved car manufacturer is Nissan
Auto Express conducts an annual survey called “Drive Power” and Nissan must be pretty chuffed with the results as the survey of over 23,000 car owners asking them to rate the cars they drive over 10 different categories such as performance, ride quality, braking and build quality found that the most improved car manufacturer was Nissan.
The exceptionally practical and good value Qashqai took a fine fifth place overall out of the top 100 cars and also did better than anything else in the people carrier class.
Not content with that, the Nissan Note also jumped up 27 places on last years results to finish 32nd overall, resulting in Nissan becoming the most improved car maker going up from 25th last year to 11th this year, putting it ahead of both Toyota and Honda.
We have tested both Note and Qashqai and indeed they are both cars we like a lot and of course, this year they were joined by the new Juke which is another cracking vehicle (assuming you can handle the way it looks).
However, maybe Nissan are becoming a victim of their own success as we have been severely disappointed by the lead times when we order anything and with delayed deliveries particularly on Navara and Juke, so whilst they might make a decent product, getting one for us, is maybe more trouble than its worth.
Well done Nissan, but you must get your production right if you want bum’s on seats in the future.
