Driving god, Formula One legend and seven times F1 World Champion, Michael Schumacher proved he’s no better than us when it comes to driving on the road after apparently crashing his Fiat van into a Kent used car dealerships security gate.
The Dealer principal of Millfield Motor Company, Martin Kingham was closing the gates, when the barrier was hit by the Fiat van, driven by Schumacher, which then hit Mr Kingham on the leg, sending him apparently spinning onto the bonnet of a nearby car.
Kent Police were called to the scene and the two men changed information, but no further action was required.
Neither Schumacher or Mr Kingham were hurt, although the Fiat van suffered some damage in the crash.
Mr Kingham recalled how the police officer called to the scene said: “That chap is claiming to be Michael Schumacher, and I said, ‘You know what, he doesn’t half look like him’. “Then the penny suddenly dropped. When I phoned my business partner later and told him that you’ll never guess who I’ve been run over by, he wouldn’t believe me.
Schumacher apparently left the scene when an entourage arrived to pick him up.
A spokesman for the seven-time Formula 1 world champion confirmed the incident had taken place and that Schumacher had co-operated with police.
Well that’s a strange story.
