114g/km Ford Mondeo Shows its “Green Credentials” and gets an Award
Often overlooked as an eco-car the Ford Mondeo has just won another award from What Car? and this time, it’s because it’s an low emissions car that delivers exceptional mpg!
The car in question is the 1.6TDCI which produces just 114g/km CO2 emissions and can return 65.6mpg. The award is the second What Car? award the Mondeo has picked up this year, having already won the ‘best overall family and estate car’ award in January 2011.
We are talking big car here and it’s a remarkable achievement by Ford to be able to deliver a car that’s both rewarding to drive and yet so frugal when it comes to visiting the pumps. Road fund tax is even free for the first year, then just £30 a year after that.
If you’ve ever driven a new Mondeo, you won’t need me telling you about just how good a car it is and frankly, these eco figures really mean that companies, or anyone interested in the environment really must put the Ford Mondeo pretty high on their list when it comes to choosing their next vehicle.
So do both yourself and the environment a favour and promise me that when the time comes for you to change your car, that you at least take a trip to your local Ford dealer and try the Mondeo for yourself, as I know you’re going to be impressed.
