Interest From Drivers and Companies Surges.
Peugeot have always made good cars and vans and today’s Peugeots are the best ever and it seems the hardest market of all, the company buyer and company car driver have realised that as Peugeot sales to businesses in 2011 hit over 54,000 vehicles.
Despite the 2011 achievements and despite the economic downturn, 2012 has seen even more interest, leading Peugeot to predict that 2012 will be an even better year for the French car maker.
So why is this? Well first thing I have to ask you is “have you been to a Peugeot dealer lately?” chances are you haven’t, but fact is, you should. The product range is sparkly, it’s well-built, it’s attractive, it’s innovative and do you know what, it’s desirable.
We visited a Peugeot showroom last week and it was one of the newly refurbished “Blue Box” locations and whilst we don’t know what they’ve done, Peugeot have managed to create a warm friendly, attractive and relaxed environment that’s nice to be in and we could quite easily see ourselves putting pen to paper and walking out (or driving out) with a new car.
Ground-breaking technology like that of the 3008 hybrid4 is complimented by cars like the gorgeous RCZ and the new 508 which has to be one of the prettiest cars in its class and when combined with interiors that are as good as the major German badged cars, and frankly, it all going to come as a bit of a shock if you haven’t visited a Peugeot dealer recently.
From a company car driver’s perspective, we were mega impressed that we could run something like the 3008 Hybrid4 with its 10% BIK rate or just £90 a month as a 40% taxpayer and even less for a standard rate taxpayer. The product seems to have become younger and with new product such as the 208 due for launch shortly, it seems that this is going to continue.
A real ace Peugeot has up its sleeve for companies is that it’s got a great range of vans as well, which complement the cars and means you can probably sort all of your company vehicle needs from just one supplier and perhaps this might be another reason that the business fleet market is choosing Peugeot.
A tailor called “John Collier” once described itself as “The Window to Watch” and do you know what, I think that title might just have passed to these new “Blue Box” Peugeot dealers, so make sure you go and take a look before you decide on your next car or van.
