The Mighty Range Rover Velar
We headed down to Hunters Land Rover in Norwich to take a look at the new Range Rover Velar and it did not disappoint. Its attention to detail justifies the luxurious design of this SUV both inside and out with endless curve appeal. It is solidly built, reliable and designed with comfort in mind.
The particular model in the video below is the Range Rover Velar R-Dynamic SE. It has a 2.0litre Diesel Turbocharged engine with 240BHP and comes in an Automatic transmission. All Range Rovers come with aluminium Ingenium engines which are lighter, more fuel efficient and powerful than its predecessors. The Continuous Inlet Variable Valve Lift system enhances every aspect of performance, fuel economy and helps reduce CO2 emissions.
The Range Rover Velar comes with a special feature known as REMOTE. This is a multi-function app that allows you to monitor and interact with your vehicle from your smart phone or watch. The app allows you to:
- Remotely start the engine
- Set the perfect temperature inside
- Lock and unlock the vehicle
- Locate your Range Rover Velar on the map
- Find your vehicle by using the beep and flash function
- Track your journeys via the app
Aside from its clever technology and beautiful design the Velar offers an optional extra safety feature. Blind spot assist/Blind spot monitor will tell you when a car is in your blind spot by making a beeping sound followed by the wing mirror flashing an orange light
If you continue to move across after the warning, the car will gently apply torque which will pull you back into your lane, preventing a possible collision. The vehicle also has 360 degree parking aid, driver condition monitor and rear traffic monitor all of which are easy to use. You’ve also got the SOS assist button which automatically dials 999 and Land Rover assist too.
